App Terms of Use

These are the terms for using the Saints Reserve app. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use it.
1. Who we are
The app is provided by Saints Reserve, a business in San Diego, California, United States ("Saints Reserve", "we"). Write to us at support@saintsreserve.com.
2. Using the app
The app is free. We give you a personal licence to use it on your own devices for your own prayer, reading and enjoyment. Please do not copy it, take it apart, resell it, or use it to harm anyone or to break the law.
You do not need an account. If you create one you must be at least 13, or the age at which you may agree to this in your country if that is higher. Keep your sign-in details to yourself; what happens in your account is your responsibility. You can delete your account in the app at any time.
3. What is in the app
- Scripture is the World English Bible, Catholic Edition, which is in the public domain. "World English Bible" is a trademark of eBible.org.
- The saints' stories, the app's design, its paintings and its audio belong to Saints Reserve unless a credit says otherwise. Pictures from museums, archives and other holders carry their credit beside them.
- Prayers and quotations come from named, published sources.
You may share what the app lets you share, such as a verse or a saint's card, for personal and non-commercial use. Please do not republish the stories, pictures or audio in bulk, or sell them.
We work hard to tell the saints' lives truthfully and to say plainly when something is tradition or legend. The app is a companion to the Catholic faith. It does not replace the Church, a priest, or professional advice of any kind.
4. Prayer Points and rewards
Prayer Points are a thank you for a habit of prayer. They are not money: they have no cash value, cannot be bought, sold or transferred, and are not your property.
- Points are counted by our servers. If the app and our servers disagree, our servers decide.
- Points may expire after 12 months in which none are earned.
- Rewards depend on what is available, and we may change, pause or end the points and the rewards at any time. We will try to give notice in the app when we do.
- A reward code can be used once, at saintsreserve.shop, and may not combine with other offers.
- One account for each person. Points earned by cheating, by false accounts or by abusing invitations may be removed, and the account closed.
5. The shop
The Shop tab shows products from our online shop. When you buy, you check out on our shop's own pages, and the sale is governed by the shop's terms and policies at saintsreserve.shop, including shipping and returns.
6. Changes and availability
We may update the app, add to it or remove things from it. We try to keep it running and correct, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of faults.
7. Our responsibility to you
The app is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, Saints Reserve gives no warranties about it, and is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for more than 50 United States dollars in total, arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that the law of your country gives you as a consumer and that cannot be signed away.
8. Ending
You may stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
9. Apple
If you got the app from Apple's App Store: these terms are between you and Saints Reserve, not Apple. Apple has no duty to maintain or support the app and is not responsible for it or for any claim about it. If the app fails to meet a warranty that the law requires, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund what you paid for the app, which is nothing. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them. You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States government embargo and are not on a United States list of prohibited parties. Apple's own terms for the App Store also apply.
10. The law that applies
These terms are governed by the law of the State of California, United States. If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live.
11. Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will post the new ones here and change the date at the top. If you keep using the app after that, you accept them.
