In 1858, the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to 14-year-old Bernadette Soubirous in Lourdes, France. Our Lady instructed Bernadette to dig into the ground, revealing a spring of water that has been the source of thousands of miraculous healings. This spring water still flows to this day and millions of pilgrims visit Lourdes in hope of Our Lady’s intercession and healing.
