The story
Saint Charbel is often regarded as the most miraculous saint after Mary and Joseph with more healings and miracles attributed to him than almost any other Saint!
He lived a quiet and pure life. At 23 he left everything behind to join the Lebanese Maronite Order. He took the name "Charbel," after a second-century martyr, and gave his life entirely to Christ.
He spent years as a humble monk, then eventually asked permission to live as a hermit, devoting himself to the Eucharist, Scripture, and the rosary.
Saint Charbel lived in near total silence. He spoke only when necessary, fasted daily, and survived on just one simple meal a day, often consisting only of just herbs and water.
He died on Christmas Eve in 1898 while kneeling in prayer. After his death, mysterious lights surrounded his tomb, and when his tomb was opened, his body was found to be incorrupt and still remains incorrupt to this day.
Today, Saint Charbel is known as the "Miracle Monk of Lebanon", with over 29,000 miracles attributed to his intercession. He is especially loved by the sick and those who suffer. We hope you love this design, for this one we just wanted to focus on Saint Charbel. We hope it reminds you that Saint Charbel still works miracles today. God Bless!
